Our Goal:

OUR GOAL: Visit fifty states within the next two years. (edited: We missed our two year deadline but still hope to visit all 50 states)

The Rules: States we visit or where we have already visited as a family (three or more members) count. States visited by only one or two family members (such as a business trip) don't count.

Layovers and stopovers don't count. We have to actually either drive though a state or do some activity, outside of the airport, in that state.

Off again

We had the idea on Monday to visit Birmingham, AL this weekend but then scratched the idea when Disney rooms went on sale and we booked a trip there for the following weekend.  Wanting to save my limited funds for the upcoming Disney trip, I thought that the Alabama trip might stretch me a bit to thin..  But, my wanderlust came back and we decided yesterday to go ahead and head to Birmingham this weekend. 

This is just going to be a day trip.. and a short one at that.  We only have about four hours in town.  We have an extra tight budget set for this trip.  Hoping to get there and back for $75 - 80.
