Our Goal:

OUR GOAL: Visit fifty states within the next two years. (edited: We missed our two year deadline but still hope to visit all 50 states)

The Rules: States we visit or where we have already visited as a family (three or more members) count. States visited by only one or two family members (such as a business trip) don't count.

Layovers and stopovers don't count. We have to actually either drive though a state or do some activity, outside of the airport, in that state.

Disney World June 22-27

I have been flying down to WDW for  a few one day trips and then for a long weekend with my husband (off property).  Lil' Bit does not like the one day trips - they are too exhausting and does not like to stay off property.  Therefore, I promised her that once school was out for the summer, she and I would take a girls trip.

We were on the road at 3:00AM for the hour drive to the airport with the hopes of getting on the first flight of the day at 6:10 AM.  We got on our favored flight with few empty seats to spare.

We arrived at Pop Century, dumped our carry on bags at bell services and headed straight to the parks.

While at the parks, I hit send" on my Amazon Prime Now order.  We had a great day in the parks.  Lil' Bit had set up all of our fast passes and she did a great job.  We made a short day of it and headed back to check out our room.

Lil' Bit was disappointed with the location of our room (based off of the text notification) so we stopped by the front desk before going to the room to ask if we could be moved.  They were so accommodating.  They switched rooms and arranged to have our bags and groceries moved to our new room.

All of the rooms at Pop century have been refurbished or are in the process of refurbishment so there are no "old" rooms left in inventory  I wasn't sure how I would feel about the new rooms but it turns out that I love them.  When the Murphy bed is up, the room is very spacious.  There is plenty of storage and the new Queen sized beds will come in very handy when I have to share with the husband.

Per Lil' Bit's plan, we got to the parks very early each day and rode rides with little or no wait in the standby line.  we then went back tot he room for a rest and afterward, headed to a different park where we had fast passes scheduled.

It rained every day right about 4:00 but we did not let that slow us down.  We threw on ponchos and grabbed umbrellas and laughed our way thought he downpours.

We pretty much rode everything we wanted to ride all week and even hit some favorites several times.

We had a bit of an adventure coming home, though.  Two flights were cancelled so we knew that there would be no room on standby so we rushed and bought tickets home via Houston.  Our Houston flight was delayed so we missed our connection and ended up spending the night in a hotel near the airport.  But all is well that ends well.  We made it out on the first flight in the morning.

I have not logged the receipts yet so I have no idea what the trip cost us.
